VERTLINER is a field robotics company, introducing a novel solution that by the use of robotic technology and artificial intelligence aims to transform assessment phases into a smart procedure. To complete our creative, dynamic, and fast-expanding R&D team in Athens, we are seeking a Senior Engineer / Autonomous UAS. You will be part of the R&D team, responsible for designing and implementing our next generation of robotic UAS with a hands-on approach. This is an incredible opportunity for a robotics passionate individual to be a member of the core team and to help further build out our product and engineering team. You should be a team player and a self-motivated person, working together on solving challenging real-world robotics problems.


The successful candidate should be a skilled developer with strong expertise in robotics programming, able to develop and optimize real-time flight algorithms spanning topics such as computer vision, SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, and control.

  • Design robust, efficient, and well-tested code.
  • Develop a deep understanding of core robotic principles and how UAS works.
  • Be flexible to collaborate on whichever problems we might encounter outside the field of expertise.
  • Participate in missions for testing the systems in real-world environments.

Εμπειρία και Εκπαίδευση

  • MSc/Ph.D. in Robotic Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics-related degrees.
  • Direct hands-on experience with implementing computer vision, SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, or control algorithms on a product.
  • Good software engineering foundation and committed to writing clean, tested, and well-structured code.
  • Good proficiency in C++ and Python in ROS environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • A good team player willing to work in a dynamic and ambitious team.
  • Proven working experience in mobile robotics is a prerequisite.
  • Previous UAS experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required in a similar position, including key responsibilities in product development, team management, and project management.
