The opportunity

We are currently seeking senior consultants on “Access to EU funding and Incentives”.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation including drafting of application folders for public and private entities aiming to access direct EU funding;
• Preparation of application folders including drafting for public and private entities aiming to access other than EU types of funding as well as incentives (national/international);
• Consortium building;
• Scanning of suitable funding opportunities and incentives to address clients’ needs;
• Design of clients’ strategy to access funding and incentives including:
• Business plan;
• Project pipeline;
• Financing strategy;
• Roadmap development;
• Analysis of relevant EU policies and regulations and consultancy advice to clients;
• Managing the design, financing and implementation of investments, innovation and infrastructure projects as well as advice on process improvement and tools;
• Capacity building and ad hoc training activities and workshops with relevance to the above.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• A Master degree on Commercial Engineering, Marketing Management, EU policies or Law or etc.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in consultancy or project work within national and/or public institutions;
• Hands on and proven experience aiming immediate integration to the team, in developing application folders for direct EU funding on schemes such as Horizon 2020, LIFE, Innovation Fund,  as well as dedicated funding and incentives primarily in the Energy & Environment sector as well as in sectors such as Tourism, Health, Culture, Digital,  Security & Defence;
• Good knowledge and experience on EU tendering procedures;
• Fluent in English, sufficiently-versed in French;
• Analytical and conceptual thinker with innovative reflexes;
• Competent in Core Consulting Capabilities

• Strong focus and drive to achieve project / program goals and objectives, with a first time right mentality;
• Within client assignments, you are able to:
  • Analyse complex problems and deliver insightful & practical solutions.
  • Think in a structured manner and can communicate adequately to clients;
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally if required ;
• Able to work both independent and in team;

Ideally, you should also have:

• Skills in other than English and French, EU languages;
• Working experience in national administration or EU services or industry, related to EU funding;
• Knowledge and experience on procedures and application process for funding to the European Investment Bank
